My real estate career started in 1986 after my youngest child graduated from high school in the Bay Area. At that time I decided that I wanted to start a new life with a new career and a new area in which to live. I only knew the Sacramento Area from passing through it over the years when I drove to Southern Idaho for visits with my parents, but I had heard that it was a friendly, unsophisticated town, "where everybody knows your name". I not only fell in love with our town & its friendly residents, but also with the trees, the rivers, the biking/walking trails, the convenient access to Lake Tahoe, S.F. & Napa Valley -- in other words, the whole package.
My love affair with Sacramento has continued for these 30 years, even after "the bloom is off the rose". The simple explanation is that I have gotten the opportunity to work as a Realtor for all those years and, in the process, have met some wonderful, extraordinary people who started out as clients but evolved into lifetime friends. I cannot think of a more exciting & challenging profession -- LOVE IT !!
My home office is in the heart of Fair Oaks, but over the years I have represented buyers and/or sellers in areas from Meadow Vista & Lincoln to Woodland & Elk Grove and all the points in between.
Lastly, one of the added beauties of this business is that aging doesn't cause your boss to give you the boot so he or she can replace you with a twenty or thirty-something upstart. Maturity can be a good thing!
Oh yes, when I am not out doing Realtor stuff, I love spending time with my son, his wife and my eleven year old grandson, who live in Meadow Vista. I also drive back to Los Gatos in the Bay Area to spend time with my daughter and two teenage granddaughters.
